Working group ‘EFCS charter’

At the General Assembly (GA) in Malaga in June of this year, the GA commissioned a working group to examine and
adapt the EFCS charter.
On Saturday, September 13 in Frankfurt, this group completed the preparation of the English version of the charter.

If all goes according to plan, President Didier Besseyre will present this version to the Executive Committee (ExCo) during the Frankfurt meeting at the end of October.
After approval by the ExCo, the document will be submitted to the General Assembly for ratification at the 2009 European Company Sport Games in Rovinj.

For those who are not familiar with the concept ‘charter’, this concise explanation:
A charter is an official document issued by an organization outlining the conditions under which that body
(here EFCS) is organized.

In other words, this document will define the formal organization of EFCS (i.e. goals, responsibilities, duties and obligations, election procedures, legal status, court having jurisdiction, etc.).
