• Volunteer or professional in company sport: professional (in local company sport organisation in Salzburg) & volunteer (in Austrian Company Sport Organisation and in European Federation for Company Sport).

• Sports background: football player in a sports club (when I was younger – from 6 until 14) and at the same time tennis player in a sports club.

• Intellectual background: commercial academy (with school leaving examination).

• Favourite sport: football, tennis, alpine ski, cycling.

2. Any specific achievements?

2 times sportsmanager for ECSG Salzburg 2003 (with in total 5600 participants) and ECSG Salzburg 2019 (with in total 7000 participants). Supervisor for several European Summer & Winter Company Sport Games.

3. What was your ambition when you applied to become EXCO member?

My ambition was to bring more professionalism in the organization of European Company Sport Games and to make EFCS more visible in the world of sports.

4. What do you want to achieve in the EFCS in the coming years?

My goal is to achieve a regular high standard in all our European Company Sport Games (Summer & Winter) and that EFCS be number one in the field of company sports in Europe.

5. Are there specific aspects in EFCS you are interested in and that you want to see being developed?

I am very interested in developing a high standard in all sport disciplines offered by EFCS during the European Company Sport Games. In the near future, I hope that EFCS will be able to develop a common “App” (schedules, results, medals) for future ECSG in the same way as the official EFCS registration tool. This would benefit all participants.

6. Do you want to share specific thoughts/suggestions/ideas about company sport?

During the last 3 decades, company sport has changed a lot. The focus is not anymore on competitive sports. There is a strong demand for leisure sport activities such as hiking, cycling, yoga, pilates. Young people want to be more flexible in their choice of participating in company sport activities or not.

7. Is there something else you want to tell about yourself we absolutely ought to know?

I am happily married and the proud father of 2 young ladies aged 12 and 14.
