Russian «Labor Reserves»

Background
Member of the EFCS since 2018.
The organization was created on July 21st, 1943 and was called Sports Society Labor Reserves. It was part of the Soviet Union. In 1992, the activities were abandoned though. However, on March 13, 2018, as demanded by the President of the Russian Federation, the organisation resumed its activities. The same year on July 21st, the organisation’s 75th anniversary was celebrated. Today, Labor Reserves is independent and focuses on the development of company sports in professional settings across the country.
ADHESION TO THE WFCS & EFCS
On June 8th, 2019, the General Assembly of the World Federation for Company Sport held in Athens endorsed the new membership of «Labor Reserves» All-Russian Physical culture and Sports Society.
3 weeks later on June 28th, the General Assembly of the European Federation for Company Sport which took place in Salzburg in the framework of the 22nd edition of the European Company Sport Games, unanimously voted yes for the adhesion of the Russian corporate sports leader to the EFCS as a full member. On the basis of the figures and data presented, both Assemblies could not but agree more on the proposal of their respective executive committees to acknowledge the importance of this Russian federation for the development of company sports in Russia, in Europe and worldwide.

ACTIVITIES
In 2018, the « Labor reserves » organised activities in 30 different disciplines that gathered no less than 15 000 participants. Teams from more than 150 companies took part in the organisation’s events.
On the federal level, international corporate games , winter and summer corporate games, e-sports corporate league, a multisport festival, a hockey league etc. are held. The regional sports calendar includes a football tournament and a regional football league, a sailing regatta and a paintball league.
Special projects include for example a family day and a futsal and beach volleyball cups.
AMBITION
« Labor Reserves » is aiming high: by 2024, it hopes to get 55% (= 15 000 000) of company staff involved in sports and to open 600 sport clubs across the country!
