Encouraging the sharing of experience and best practices is a strong commitment of the EFCS!

As part of the PACTE+ project, we co-organised with the Stadt Graz a conference on how to make workplaces more active. What a rich and interesting exchange! We would like to thank the mayor Elke Kahr, Thomas Rajakovics and Alexander Rossi for this great final result.

Charlotte Frueh-Richardot and Clarisse Paillard had the opportunity to present the European Federation For Company Sport – EFCS, its role and activities in promoting company sport at European level.

Special thanks to our vice-president Reinhard Sitzler for his speech on the European Games and to Theresa Eckart from ÖBSV – Österreichischer Betriebssport Verband for giving us an insight into the Austrian federation. It was very interesting to hear the feedback from Graz-based companies and other company sport stakeholders.

Michael Omann, co-founder of MOVEVO, presented his platform for supporting and facilitating physical activity for employees.

Energie Steiuermark and Holding Graz came to present the best practices implemented within their companies.

Over the course of the day, the speakers answered the following question: “How can we enable and motivate people to be active and do sport at work? Stefanie Stebegg and Roman Heinzle gave their analysis of motivational methods and presented a cost-benefit analysis of the company. Finally, Mag. Niklas LICHTENEGGER, linked the situation of sport in vocational schools with the situation of sport in companies.

Thank you to all the speakers for their contributions and all the consortium – Let’s make active workplaces more widespread!
