According to specialists, Bordeaux 2023 was a milestone! It is now considered the edition of all records, with nearly 8,000 participants, over 400 companies, 26 countries and 41 sporting disciplines including 4 leisure activities. There is no doubt that this 24th edition will go down in the history of the European Company Sport Games.
The Games got off to a flying start with the opening ceremony at the Place des Quinconces in Bordeaux on June 14th: after the parade of delegations, our speakers took the floor to declare the Games open. The ceremony was topped off with entertainment up to the occasion.
We would like to thank Minister Oudéa-Castéra, Mayor Hurmic, Vice-President of the Metropole Bloch , Vice-President of the Region Lafrique , Mr Raí, the event’s sponsor, and President of the FFSE and EFCS Besseyre for their participation.
The sporting events were a great success, and so were other memorable moments of the ECSG2023, particularly the big party at Hangar 14.

Thank you for your participation! Your cheerfulness, your motivation, your fair play as well as your performances are what made these Games so unforgettable.
The ECSG reinforce our desire to develop company sport and make it accessible to as many people as possible. The Games and their visibility is a formidable driving force for companies, as they encourage their employee-athletes to go beyond their limits, and to realise that sport and physical activity are solid tools for the health and well-being of employees, as well as for the company’s performance. They represent the company’s commitment in this field and enhance its image, projecting its excellence both internally and externally.
These European Company Sport Games make a story that co-workers will tell tirelessly. We all need them because they embody a message we wish to convey: company sport is much more than just sport.
But let us not stop there: we have set our course for the next European Company Sport Games in Calvià, Spain, from June 25th to 29th, 2025. Now that the torch have been passed on to the next host, all we can do is hope to see you all at the next edition, which promises to be just as successful as this year’s.
